Chapter 1: The morning of: Hotels and Resorts
Start pg 36
When food is not planned, someone always decides they are hungry and looks over the room service menu. The morning usually goes as follows: they talk about what to order for at least 15 or 20 minutes, figuring out who wants what, who will share with whom, who's going to pay, who has cash, who's going to put it on their card, is there an ATM in the lobby, who's boyfriend has their purse etc…) The call is made and they wait and wait. The food finally arrives and they have to take bites between hairspray and lip-gloss! Or they barely have time to even eat!

Chapter 2: The morning of: The bride's home
Start pg 52
One lovely bride of mine had just moved into her Manhattan apartment two days before her wedding morning! She graciously accommodated five bridesmaids, her mother, the make-up artist and me. Scattered throughout the apartment were still unpacked boxes! But this bride was prepared which in turn kept her calm and relaxed! When I arrived, she had a spot set up for me in a small side room. The bride had even thought to rent a bar table and stool for the makeup artist, which was set up in a bright section of the living room. The dining area table was set up with a lovely spread. She had ordered in a fruit tray with muffins, put out a dish of mixed nuts, and two pitchers, one filled with water and the other one juice. Coffee was set up in the galley kitchen. It was simple and elegant.

Chapter 3: The morning of: Your childhood home
Start pg 79
For some families, a home wedding indicates that saving money is a goal. This leaves many in the home with responsibilities for jobs usually left up to the catering people at halls and hotels. For one home wedding I was set up in the kitchen doing the bride's hair. People were in and out of the room all morning. The bride's twenty-something brother was in charge of getting all of the liquor over to the hall where the reception was to take place. The dad was getting stressed as he had not shown up yet, the time to get to the church was drawing near and he also knew the son still had to get dressed! Well he did finally show up, but not alone! He had a new girlfriend! He chose his sister's wedding morning to bring her home to meet everyone, and he was planning on bringing her to the wedding! Emotions were broiling under the calm surface of trying to be nice to the new girl yet fuming at the son for this blunder. He was quickly pulled aside and chastised. The problem was that he saw nothing wrong with it all!

Chapter 4: The morning of: Unique locations
Start pg 86
In the summer season theses vacation homes and small Inns are teeming with vacationers and your guests may experience congested traffic in town and problems with parking. For one New England costal town location I visited often, I knew to give myself at least a half hour extra travel time just to get through the downtown area! Make sure to ask the locals if this will be the case. If so, notify your guests in writing in the printed directions.
" Also check on craft fairs, harvest fairs and any parades that may be scheduled on your wedding day!
A parade can set the entire morning off because no one is familiar with the side streets! One wedding I was stuck for half an hour at the town green because they were having their annual town celebration and craft fair!
